Served onboard: USCGC Rush WHEC-723 (call sign NLVS), USCGC Citrus WMEC-300 (call sign NRPQ) and temporary duty on most Pacific cutters as an area CMS/EKMS inspector.
Served on shore: USCG RM 'A' School; USN RM 'B' School; USN RM 'C' School,  Communications Station San Francisco (call sign NMC), Instructor at USCG RM 'A' School (taught CW and Communication Systems); Radioman in-charge Station Alexandria (call signs K4CG, NNN0NCG and NNN0KID, and WE6N. Now my call sign is N7WQ); Radioman Chief of Communications at NNBIS (National Narcotics Border Interdiction System) Long Beach CA; Greater Antilles Section (GANTSEC) Communications Officer , San Juan PR; In-charge, Pacific Area Intel Team (PIT) & developed one of the first websites for the Coast Guard (1993); USCG Pacific Area Communications Security Officer and CMS/EKMS ISIC (electronic key management), at the time, developed the only CG-wide CMS intranet website in support of secure communications (all CG sites have been behind security firewalls).

Website developed: In the past, developed a number of USCG sites (handed off to other webmasters upon transfer) as well as commercial sites; Presently maintains local USCG Auxiliary Flotilla website; Taught website design and development for the USCG Auxiliary for three years.  Built and currently maintains the website for the Dutcher Creek Golf Course in Grants Pass, URL www.dutchercreekgolf.com.
Personal: Married to the former Mimi Petersen of Fulton CA in August 1981; Daughter (Beth, born July 1983) attends Portland State University (Graphic Design major), Son (Tom, born February 1985) works at and attends the University of Oregon in Eugene.
